Edith Winger Obituary

Edith Edna Winger, wife of the late Vernon W. Winger, passed away on January 16, 2011. Edna is survived by sons Vernon H. Winger and Mike Winger; daughters Charlene Lynch and Marsha Burke; daughter-in-law Jody Winger; grandchildren Cory Lynch, Jennifer Dunning, Nicole Cryan, Elise Burke, Courtney Winger, Chris Winger and Greggory Winger; great-grandchildren Mikayla Evans, Emily Dunning, Bryce Cryan and Sydney Cryan; sister Marla Provost; brother-law Dean Provost; and aunt Gloria Armstrong. Edna was born in Bellingham Washington on December 11, 1931 and lived in Bellingham, Seattle, and southern California, the last for over 50 years. She was a talented crafter and participated in many Christmas boutiques with her good friend, Inez Lee. Edna liked to travel and made annual trips to Bellingham as well as elsewhere across the US to see friends and family. She nurtured close ties within the family and orchestrated frequent gatherings where members enjoyed themselves and strengthened those relationships. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM at Heritage Memorial Services, 17712 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, California, 92647, (714)-842-2400, Chaplain Chuck Regehr officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your favorite charity or the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).

We will miss you Aunt Edna. You were always so adventerous and caring. You had a passion and spark for life. We always loved coming to California every summer to see you and Uncle Vernon. Thank you for all the memories. We love you!
