Gerald Nelson Obituary

Gerald K. Nelson passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. He was 81, born July 15, 1929 in East Stanwood, WA to Adolph and Audrey (Cleary) Nelson. Gerald served in the US Army during the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart. He married Harlene Beard in 1984. Gerald owned Radio and TV Clinic in Bellingham for years. He was a member of American Legion Post 7 and DAV. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife Harlene; stepchildren, Tony Beard, Dan Beard, Cindy (Rick) Mauler; sisters, Wanda, Pat, Rosalie; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 7, at 2 PM, at Moles Greenacres Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
