Gordon K. Manthey, age 57, of Ferndale, passed away on June 13, 2016. Gordon was born on January 10, 1959 in Bellingham to David and Marlene Manthey. He graduated from Meridian High School and had previously owned Skagit Canopy. Gordon had 23 years of sobriety. He loved collecting antiques and enjoyed outdoor recreation. He always made his kids his number one priority and was always willing to give a helping hand or loan a buck. He is preceded in death by his father David Manthey in 1984 and his mother Marlene Dunkin in 2010. Gordon is survived by his sons David and Shawn Manthey both of Ferndale, brother James (Dawn) Manthey of Ferndale, step-daughter Sheila Vodopest of Everson and former wife and friend Rhonda Ellsworth of Bellingham and 1 niece and 2 nephews.
