Helen Eaton passed away on Wednesday from Scleroderma complications. She was born Helen Early in San Francisco, CA to Lila Fritz and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1979. While working in Custer, WA, Helen met her future husband and love of her life, Michael Eaton, with whom she shared 26 years of adventure. They partnered in running several businesses, she was an excellent bookkeeper. Her recent passion was traveling the country to watch Championship NHRA Drag Races. Helen also loved motorcycles and could be seen cruising on the back of Mike's Harley. Every summer was filled with camping trips, gardening and bonfires. Helen had a soft spot for animals and never forgot her faithful Blue Heeler, Patty. Helen will be remembered for her love for life, sense of humor, optimism and strength. Helen is survived by her husband, Mike, her daughter, Jessica, and her granddaughter, Jorja Bell. She is also survived by her brother Jeff (Colleen) Early, sister, Michele Early, and her parents-in-law, Charles and Shirley Eaton. She will also be missed deeply by her many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and her step-father, Jerry Fritz. At Helen's request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, Helen asked donations be made to the Scleroderma Foundation (http://www.scleroderma.org/) to find a cure for this excruciating disease that has no effective treatment. "I fought to survive, now it's your turn, go forward at full speed!"
