'Fluke as she was known by all her friends was born in Pine City ,MN to Albert and Marie Flukey.Fluke is survived by a brother,Lenard and Shirley Flukey of Napa, CA and a sister Donna and Richard Heine of Grover Heights, and friend and niece Cheryl Overfors of Superior, WI.After graduating high school Fluke enlisted in the Women's Army Corps where she reached the rank of first sergeant, she was stationed at the Pentagon,working in the budget department.Fluke was proud of her service and that she shook hands with President Dwight D. Eisenhower at his inauguration. Fluke worked in the Whatcom County assessors office for 25 years in the mapping department and received many commendations for her work.Fluke loved to play cards and toilet paper houses,walk the mall with Stella Slyke;talk and laugh about old times with Jean Wilson;travel to Finlayson, MN to visit with her high school friend Elsie France and family. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends Natalie Leninger and Betty Glassman of Birch Bay Village.Fluke will be greatly missed by her extended family; Charlene and Mick McBride of Birch Bay Village and Sally Closser and Cheryl Eastlick of Bellingham and Sara her Dog
