James Hofacker Obituary

James E. Hofacker Jr., age 63, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, following a tragic accident. Jim was born January 22, 1948 in Seattle, Washington and moved to Bellingham in 1974, while stationed with the Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife Carol and son Joseph. You are invited to share your thoughts and memories of Jim on-line at www.sigsfuneralservices.com A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2:00 P.M. at the Deming Logging Show Museum Building, 3295 Cedarville Road in Bellingham, with Military Honors by the American Legion Post #7, of Bellingham. Memorial donations may be made to The Hospice House, 2806 Douglas AV, Bellingham, WA 98225.

Carol, Joseph, and family;
I am so very sorry for the accident and Jim's passing. I hope that you will be lifted up by your friends and family in the days ahead and that you will call on us if we can help you in this time of sadness and change. I have several memories of Jim in the time we spent in the Coast Guard. I feel fortunate to have called him my friend. I pray that God's Grace and comfort will rest on you and your family.
