Joseph Daniel Ramon Blasco passed away August 1st, 2013 in Lynden, WA. He was 23. Born March 3rd, 1990 in Renton, WA he moved with his family at age 4 to Lynden, WA. He graduated from Meridian High School in 2008. He got his Associate's Degree from Whatcom Community College then transferred to Florida International University in Miami, FL in 2012 to study Software Engineering. He had a love for video gaming, playing basketball and soccer. During his summer vacation he has spent time fishing which he enjoyed a great deal. He also enjoyed yearly berry picking with his friends and was a whiz at making strawberry shortcakes. Joseph was a good friend and listener with a good heart. He excelled in academics with high math skills. He was inquisitive and always asking questions to further his knowledge about life. He is survived by his mother, Susana Blasco, father, Ramon Blasco, step-mother Sharon Shields, siblings Stephen Blasco, Cristina Callahan, Elisabeth Triggs, nephew Ronan Callahan as well as grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members, loving friends and Buddy "Buttons". Joseph is in Heaven watching over the family and waiting for us when it is our time to join him. His family and friends love him and miss him dearly. A Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 205 12th St. in Lynden, WA on Friday, August 9th, 2013 at 2:00pm. Reception to follow.
