Karen K. Jackson-Hazley was born February 13th, 1945 in Columbus, Indiana; daughter of Mr. Leroy Jackson and Flossie Arnella Wells. Karen is preceded in death by her father, two sisters, a brother, a half-brother Larry Palmer and Timmie, her beloved mini Schnauzer, who lived 20 years in his mom's love and care. Karen grew up in Monterey, California, attending Monterey High School. She lived in California until 1996 when she took an adventure to Anchorage, Alaska for a year, then moved to Bellingham, Washington for 14 years, living the remainder of her life in Birch Bay, Washington. Karen leaves these that she loved; son Steven E. Roper II, beloved granddaughter Melody Davina Roper, her lifelong companion Steve Ficken, sisters Trudy Zimmerman and Nancy Jane Palmer; brothers Duain Palmer of Columbus, Indiana and Fred Jackson of Missouri; beloved great-niece Gracie Maxwell of Greenburg, Indiana, many other family members and her dogs, Cooper, Ziva and Chloe.
