La Verna Macdonald Obituary

La Verna Mae Nadine Macdonald, a long time Whidbey Island resident, passed peacefully on January 3, 2011 in Bellingham, Washington from a short battle with Leukemia, and a long battle with Dementia; she was 79. She was born February 22, 1931. "Grandma" as everyone called her was a vibrant woman with a heart of gold. She made sure her life was lived for Jesus. She will be deeply missed and thought of often. Her vibrant soul lives vivaciously through her family and the peoples' lives she has touched. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 30 at the Oak Harbor Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Hey Grandma not a day goes by that there isn't a memory you, like your laughter your since of humor. You walked me through so many hard times in my life you held my hand through it all. Grandma you were the greatest I love and I miss you I know some day I will see you again and you will still hold my hand like you have always have. Love you always your, Handy Andy.

Oh Grandma; A piece of me is missing. I know when I'm ready, I'll pray for healing. I miss you so much. You weren't just a grandmother to me, you raised me and taught me well. You were my mother too.
