Our beloved Paula has gone home to Our Father, after her long battle with lung disease. She passed away comfortably at home surrounded by her family the morning of December 31st, 2015. Paula had an insatiable thirst for life. Whether she was cooking in the kitchen with her mother, or teaching a Pilates class, she approached everything she did with the utmost commitment, and all the strength she possessed. Her interests were limitless, as was her cookbook collection. Her foundation was built on her love of God and her family, she had worked at Gonzaga University's Foley Library for over 20 years, where she was able to combine her faith and desire to serve others. She is survived by her husband, Matthew W. Ball, her parents, Deacon Gary and Christine Veale, her brother James, sister-in-law Carol, her nieces Marissa, June, Carolyn, and Kalia, her nephew Jalen, as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, and extended family.. In accordance with her practical nature, Paula requested that In lieu of flowers at her services, donations be mailed to the Spokane Missionaries of Charity, 5008 N. Lacey St, Spokane, WA 99217. A vigil service will be held Tuesday evening, the 5th of January 2016 at 7:00PM, at St. Aloysius' Church, Gonzaga University, 330 E Boone Ave, Spokane WA, and funeral services will be Wednesday the 6th of January, 2016 at 10AM.
