Philomena "Phyllis" Ida (Bacio) Gindhart (age 87) entered into rest on February 17, 2016 at the Whatcom Hospice House. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Metheun, Mass to Pasquale and Antoinette (Quaglietta) Bascio. She married Richard Charles Gindhart in Los Gatos, CA on September 25, 1949. She is survived by her sons; Richard Gindhart of Elma, WA, Russell (Terrie) Gindhart of Anacortes, WA; daughters, Donna (Pete) Storseth of Helena, MT, Carol Gindhart of Mesa, AZ and Jennifer (Mike) Schmidt of Custer, WA; brother, Thomas (MaryAnn) Bascio of Henderson, NV; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Richard and brother, Patrick Bascio. Phyllis was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Blaine. She will be most remembered for her fabulous cooking and her card playing skills. She was a loving mother and grandmother, great friend and had a very strong faith. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 12 noon at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Blaine, WA. Vigil services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 7:00 at Jerns Funeral Chapel 800 E. Sunset DR. Bellingham, WA.
