Robert "Bob" Eugene Compton (age 75) entered into rest on October 11, 2016 in Bellingham, WA. Robert was born on February 25, 1941 in Sedro Woolley, WA to Lionel Eugene and Phyllis Reva (Barr) Compton. He graduated from Meridian High in 1960. After graduating high school Robert entered the Air Force and served his country for four years. Following his active service he entered the National Guard and enjoyed competing in pistol competitions. Robert worked for himself as an electrician for twelve years and worked at Intalco for 20 years. He retired from Intalco in 2001. All his friends that knew him called him Bob. He will be remembered for being extremely helpful to his friends and family. Robert married the love of his life, Vernita Duim in 1961 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was a strong, firm, smart and funny but most of all loving. He loved his family foremost, especially his wife Nita; daughters, Kathy and Debbie; grandchildren, Jynelle, Kaylee, Kari, Andrew; great grandchildren; brother, Ben Compton; sisters, Winifred Compton, Janice Lytle.
