Robert Barker, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Cle Elum, WA on Mon., Oct. 10th, 2016. Bob was born Jan. 2, 1936 in Hubberton, VT to Charles and Caroline Barker. He served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1956. On July 2, 1955 Bob married Virginia P. Sheldon in Shoreham, VT. They moved to La Puente, CA in 1959 where he worked as a Brick Mason. In 1969 the family moved to Bellingham, WA where he worked at Georgia Pacific until he retired. On Oct.8, 1986 Bob lost Virginia, his wife of 31 years. Nov. 11, 1988 Bob married Sharon McAllister. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and traveling across the country and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Independent Order of Foresters and the American Legion. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Caroline Barker, his wife Virginia, his son Charles and his brothers Francis, Charles, Leslie and Richard. He is survived by wife Sharon; daughters Susan (Dennis) Urbanec, Valerie (John) Pearl-Hanrahan, Katherine (Greg) Little; step-daughters Michelle (Rod) Davis, Connie Roper, Tracy McAllister, step-son Richard McAllister; grandchildren Melissa, Bryan, David, Alicia, Joseph, Matthew, Ashley, Robert, Kelly, Makayla, 14 great-grandchildren; his sisters Bernice Bushey and Jessie Brown, his brother David Barker, along with and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Oct. 22 at 2:30pm at the Church of LDS at in Cle Elum, WA. Reception following. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Institute.
