Steve Claude Aubert passed away June 16, 2016. He was 67 years old. Steve was born on December 1st, 1948 in Colfax, WA to his parents John and Bea Aubert. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Pharmaceuticals in 1972. He also obtained a teaching degree at WWU. Steve worked as a pharmacist throughout his life and retired from Haggen Food and Pharmacy in Bellingham in 2015. In his late twenties, Steve's faith fueled him to minister overseas. He served as a teacher to missionary kids in Zaire, and as a pharmacist on multiple medical mission trips to Honduras, India, Jamaica, China, Cambodia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Haiti. He married the love of his life, Cindy Johnson, and became a father to his step-children, Jeremy and Hannah. Steve and Cindy went on to have Abby and Sam. Steve was a committed husband and father. Steve is survived by his wife, Cindy; son, Jeremy Leech; daughter, Hannah Atkins; his son-in-law, Caleb Atkins; his daughter, Abby Aubert; his son, Sam Aubert; his four grandchildren; and his siblings, Gena (Gus) Gustafson, Rick Aubert, Jamey (Kodi) Aubert, and Sally (Alan) Beard (and their respective families). He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Bea. Steve's life will be celebrated on July 22nd, 2016 at 3:30 pm at Hillcrest Chapel (1400 Larrabee Avenue, Bellingham, WA).
