Verna Jane Voth 85, passed away in Bellingham on June 25, 2016 . She was born to William and Margaret Banman March 19,1931 in Goessel, Kansas. On April 6, 1950 she married the love of her life, Milo with whom she was able to celebrate 66 years of marriage. Verna worked side by side with Milo whether it was in their garden, poultry/beef business, or their hardware stores, all the while raising 5 sons, of whom she said "I always wanted 5 sons." Later in life she and Milo volunteered with The Sowers, a group that provided volunteer labor for churches and Christian organizations involved in building projects. Verna leaves behind her husband Milo, 5 sons: Myron (Sharon), Brad (Barb), Stan (Renae), Ken (Heidi), Nolan (Starla), 12 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Verna had a sweet spirit and loved serving others. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Rich and Marvin and a son, Douglas. A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Lynden on Saturday, July 23 at 11 AM.
