Jeanette Nutter, 96, beloved wife, sister and aunt, passed away on May 15, 2014. Jeanette was born on January 26, 1918 in Bellingham, WA. In 1936 she graduated from Whatcom High School and married Russell Nutter in November. After working for a short time at Santa Cruz Food Packing Company, Jeanette devoted her life to her husband and family. She lived in Bellingham until 1960 when she moved to Burlington. Jeanette, affectionately known as "Auntie Babe" by most, loved her family, family gatherings, friends, animals, her home and gardening. Three generations of family and friends were blessed by her love and friendship. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Nutter and her brother, Keith Gordon. Jeanette is survived by her sister, Beverly Ringhouse; nieces and nephews, Melissa & Dave Preugschat, Rebecca Ringhouse & Bill Pharr, and Nancy Webster; great-nieces and nephews, Kendra & Ken Hill, Corey Preugschat, Russell Pharr and Courtney Pharr. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to the Grace Cochrum Children's Therapy Guild, c/o Dee, 734 Southern Ave., Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
