"He Fought a Good Fight and Finished Well." On July 19, 2014, Albert John Van Dalfsen was welcomed into heaven. Albert was born November 25, 1933, to John and Minnie (Mulder) Van Dalfsen in Bellingham, WA. Albert attended Lynden Christian Schools where he met and later married M. Jean Kredit. He was a charter member of Third Christian Reformed Church where he served as elder and deacon. A Lynden businessman, Albert, along with his wife Jean, owned the New Crescent, Baby Buggy, and Dolls n' Bears. He served on the Lynden Christian School Board, Civil Service Commission, Planning Commission and was a charter member of the Lynden Noon Kiwanis. Albert was a 25 year veteran of the Lynden Volunteer Fire Department and also served with the Lynden Police Department "S. T. A. R. S.". Preceding Albert in death were his parents, his sisters, Betty (Herm) Hendricks, Marion (Les) Hendricks, Marty (Bill) Hendricks and niece, Merilee Hendricks. Albert was deeply loved by his wife Jean; children, Carol Bouma, Cristi and Gary Miles, and Gary and Jill Van Dalfsen; grandchildren, Robb, Marea, Chris, Melissa, Chad, Alison, Josh, Sam, Dana, and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Alex, Judah, Avery, Will, Hunter and baby Evelyn Jean on the way. A graveside service will take place at Monumenta Cemetery on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 1 PM followed by a celebration of life service at Third Christian Reformed Church at 2 PM.
