Christy Lynn (Himes) Johnson was born in Grand Coulee Washington on April 23rd, 1986 to Sherry Lynn Honeycutt. Christy spent her formative years in Coulee City Washington and later moved to Grand Coulee when her mother married Steven Turner. In 1997 Christy moved with her parents to Bellingham Washington where she attended Shuksan Middle School and Squalicum High School. In 2001 the family moved to Custer Washington. In 2004 Christy graduated on the Honor Roll at Ferndale High School. Christy began Volunteering at St. Joseph Medical Center while still a Senior in High School and after Graduation took a position as a Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Room. Christy's personality was infectious and she quickly made friends and flourished. Her co-workers loved her no nonsense attitude and quick sharp wit. While working in the ER, Christy met RN Robert B. Johnson. Christy and Robert (Rob) were joined in marriage on June 20th, 2012 and made their home in Ferndale Washington. Christy was an artist at heart and loved to beautify her world. She was often working on special craft projects and pieces of art for family and friends. She also was an avid reader and loved True Crime novels. Christy's infectious smile would light a room and her quick wit gave everyone a chuckle. She was a caring, generous and loving daughter, wife, and friend. Christy is survived by her husband Robert. B. Johnson; her step-son Michael R.B. Johnson; her parents Sherry L. and Steven D. Turner; her brother Levi E. Turner; her grandparents Raymond and Joyce Lundberg and Frank and Jeannette Turner; and many other family and friends. Christy was a bright light that left this world far too soon! A visitation time will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2014 at Gillies Funeral Home, 202 Front St., Lynden. The Graveside Service will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM in Nooksack Valley Assembly of God Church/Valley Church, 904 Nooksack Rd., Everson.
