The Bartle family wishes to express its profound gratitude to the Ferndale and Bellingham communities for their support, prayers and condolences during our time of grieving for our son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Captain Daniel Bartle, USMC. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such caring and compassionate people, and your expressions of love and gestures of friendship will never be forgotten.
We would like to give special recognition to the following people and organizations, without whom last weekend's beautiful acts of remembrance would not have been possible: Rob West-ford, Funeral Director at Westford Funeral Home; Captain Ben Schellman, USMC; Pat, Becky, and Camille Skaggs; Church of the Assumption; Ferndale and Bellingham Police Departments; Ferndale and Bellingham Fire Departments; Whatcom County Sheriff's Department; Bellingham Port Authority; United States Coast Guard; The Patriot Guard Riders; The American Legion; Bellingham and Ferndale Veterans of Foreign Wars; Gold Star Mothers; Knights of Columbus; Marge Roddel and Vic Randall of Ferndale High School; Marines Motorcycle Club; Mark Kuhl; Haggen Supermarket; and Byron Sprague, Roger Jobs Motors, Inc.
Also in our thoughts are all the people who brought gifts of food, love and support to our doorstep. We are eternally grateful to be part of such a wonderful community.
