Longtime Bellingham resident, Howard Hayter passed away peacefully the afternoon of June 2nd surrounded by his family. Howard was born and raised in Chelan Washington and moved to the Bellingham area in the early 1960's. He drove the number 67 race car at Skagit Speedway during those years. Howard was a successful and well respected auto saleman in the Bellingham area for over 35 years, many of those years were spent at Chambers Chevrolet. Howard loved his Seahawks and Mariners and spent many Sundays attending Seahawk games at the Kingdome. Howard enjoyed entertaininig around his backyard pool and loved to watch his grandchildren enjoy the pool while growing up. Howard is survived by his son Robert, daughter in-law Renee (Everett), his daughter Eileen Davis (Bellingham), brother Fred Hayter, sister in-law Marge (Chelan, WA), sister Pat Mirata (Millbrea, CA) and grandchildren Brian and Brooke Hayter (Everett).
