BELLVILLE: Connie Carver liked to wiggle a stick, infuse some love and prayers, and turn a few skeins of yarn into a beautiful blanket or afghan. Connie enjoyed crocheting! Referred to as "NaNa" by generations of children – grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many she had "adopted" – Connie was always a little behind in her crocheting. She had more love than yarn.

Following a short illness, Connie was called into the Lord's presence early Saturday morning April 18, 2015 from OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was 65.

She was born October 25, 1949 in Mansfield to Ronald & Margaretan (Murray) Teeter and was graduated from Bellville High School. She remained an area resident and worked as an inspector with Gorman Rupp in Bellville.

An active member of CitiChurch, she served the congregation as a greeter, and was supportive of the church's sister-congregation work in Mt. Vernon.

Connie was a member and former president of the Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 535 in Bellville, and a member of the Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post No. 5101 near Lexington.

She is survived by her husband Edward Carver, whom she married January 5, 1973; sons and daughters Chuck abdVirginia Carver, Mike and Robin Carver and Bobby Carver all of Bellville, John Frazee of Mt. Vernon, Tony and Paula Frazee of Bellville, Cindy and Brian Hoffee of Galion and Sharon Frazee of Lexington; ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; a sister Cindy Young of Bellville and brother Tom & Gloria Teeter of Mansfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson and a great granddaughter.

The Carver family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Micah Pelkey will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Contributions in her memory to CitiChurch may be made at the funeral home.
