Dear Mrs. Holden,

I last saw Mr. Holden during one of my sporadic visits back home about four years ago. He joked that I should be coming back more often - but it was all in good fun. Bennington has lost one of its finest.

Dear Holden Family;

I was very sorry to learn today of Ed's passing. I spoke with him just a short time ago about his illness, and his postive attitude was humbling. I have worked with Ed for several years on his planned biogas project, and enjoyed his humor, wit and attitude about life in general. I will miss him!

Dear Holden Family:

Though it has been many years since Ed and I competed for customers in the milk business, I have always remembered Ed as a complete gentleman. His ethics and integrity could not be challenged and the industry was better for it.

Warmest thoughts to his wife and family...

Dear Gale, Father Jim and Nancy,
Reading this morning's obituary in the Rutland Herald, I experienced what a huge loss Ed's death is to you, yours and Bennington. His efforts and commitment to family, business and the civic community were cut too short though they will long be remembered. You must be very proud that he continued so very well the legacies of your parents and grandparents. Our family gratefully remembers our ties to your family through Fairdale Farms and more recently through Father Jim. May Ed rest in peace. My sympathies in your loss, Cecile Betit

Gale and the Holden Family. I am truly saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. From a long time ago, I will remember with admiration and respect for his manner and way. A positive impact on me for just being himself.

Betsy and Rob,

Although I already posted to this site, I must write again having just come in from calling hours. I got to meet your beautiful, sweet children and we chatted a bit. They looked so grown up and conducted themselves in a way to make ANY parent proud. You are blessed by this new generation, and it was an honor to meet them.

with love,
