Barbara MacIntyre Barbara MacIntyre, a community activist who worked tirelessly for civil rights, women's rights, peace and justice, and to elect Democrats, died July 11. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, 6:30-8pm, July 26, Universalist Unitarian Meetinghouse, 108 School Street, Benn. Light refreshments. Tarbell, Frank  
Frank A. Tarbell 1922 - 2016 Frank Abner Tarbell of Dorset VT died July 20, 2016 in Bennington VT. He was born October 7, 1922 to Frank Abner Tarbell Sr and Georgia May (Lake) Tarbell, the youngest of five children who all predeceased him; Clifford, Christine, Harriet, and Helen. Frank left school at a young age to work. He was employed in the local area as a farmer, a log truck driver, State of VT Road crew, and a caretaker. He enjoyed working, hunting, fishing, dancing, camping and snowmobiling. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2551 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Manchester VT. He was married to the former Hazel Burke of Dorset and later to Joyce Hewes Dean Miller Tarbell, who predeceased him in June 2016. He was predeceased by two daughters, Claudia and Joan and is survived by sons Cyrus (Rusty) Tarbell, Clifford Tarbell , Claude Tarbell and wife Phyllis, all of Pawlet, VT and daughter Betty White and husband Gerald of Ferrisburgh,VT and Wildwood, FL. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours at Brewster-Shea Funeral Service in Manchester Center, VT will be held on Tuesday July 26 from 5-6:30 and a time to share memories of Frank will be held at 630-7pm. Memorial donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Manchester Rescue Squad, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Services, P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255. Lobanoff, Duysa - Manchester Center  
Duysa Lobanoff 1922 - 2016 Duysa Lobanoff, 94 passed away peacefully at Equinox Terrace on Tuesday evening July 19, 2016. Mrs. Lobanoff was born in Riga, Latvia on February 14, 1922, she emigrated to the United States with her husband Arthur Petry and son Andy in 1949. They settled in Brooklyn , Mrs. Lobanoff had lived in Long Island, California and Manchester, prior to returning to Manchester recently,she had resided in Texas near her son John. Her former husband Arthur passed away in 1977, she married Valentine Lobanoff in 1972, he died in 1985. Mrs. Lobanoff was an accomplished ballerina and avid Bridge player. She loved to cook Latvian dishes for her family and her favorite three words were "eat, eat ,eat ! ". Traveling, gardening and knitting were her favorite past times. She leaves her sons Thomas Petry of Manchester Center, John Petry of Magnolia, Texas, step sons Gregory and Andre Lobanoff, grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Michael, Alison, Alec, TJ and Tyler Petry, great grandchildren Bailey, Cannon, Andy and Emma Petry, Noah and Kayla Reynolds In addition to her husbands , she was predeceased by her son Andy. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Wed. July 27,2016 at 11:00 am, at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, West Pawlet, VT, A gathering at Tom and Pam Petry's home following Mass. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Brewster-Shea Funeral Service.

Elaine Sherman Agan A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elaine Sherman Agan will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bennington.The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Mrs. Agan died November 6, 2015 in Topeka, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.

Callahan, Shereen - Bennington  
Shereen E. Callahan 1947 - 2016 Shereen E. Callahan, 68 a resident of Fourth Street, Hoosick Falls, NY and a former resident of Woodford, passed away Friday, July 15 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bennington September 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Gerald A. Croff and the former Ethel (Hicks) Croff who survives. Shereen received her education in Bennington schools and was a 1965 graduate of Bennington High School. Shereen married John E. "Jack" McKenna in Woodford on April 21, 2001. Jack died August 26, 2009. She later married Richard Callahan on May 20, 2011. Shereen was employed for 23 years at NSK Steering Systems in Bennington until her retirement in 2013. An avid snowmobiler for many years, Shereen served as president of the Woodford Sno-Busters for several years. The Annual Very Special People snow- mobile ride for people with special needs was Shereen's most enjoyable winter event. Guests looked forward to that day like it was Christmas morning. Shereen enjoyed golfing and had been a member of both the Stanford and Hoosick Falls Country Clubs. She was also a member of St. Stanislaw Society in Hoosick Falls. Survivors include her husband, Richard Callahan of Hoosick Falls; a daughter and son-in law , Kathleen and Darius "DJ" Lingener of Hoosick Falls; two sons , Michael Main of Shushan, NY and Stephen Main and his wife Amber of Bennington; her mother, Ethel Croff of Bennington; six grandchildren , Lauren , Tanner, Rebecca, Paige, Nicole and Kennedy; two-grandsons, Corbin and Westyn; a former daughter-in-law, Darcy Main of Bennington; two brothers , Gerald Croff and Gregory Croff of Bennington; a very close friend since they were 4 years old, Susan Walsh of Bennington; two very special nephews, Brad and Tyler Croff of Bennington and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Kathleen Croff who died June 11, 2016. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 20th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Penny Rich Smith, pastor of the North Bennington Congregational Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, July 20th from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Shereen E. Ralph J. Wideawake HOOSICK FALLS, NY Ralph J. Wideawake, 56, passed away on July 14, at Albany Medical Center. He resided in Hoosick Falls and was the son of Ralph O. and Phyllis (Whitton) Wideawake.
