Larry Rukat Obituary
1948-2012 DORSET VT Larry A Rukat, 63, a resident of Kirby Hollow in Dorset, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
Larry was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., on Aug 29, 1948, the son of the late Adam (Bill) and Ethel (Harrington) Rukat, one of nine children and graduated from Hudson Falls High School.
Larry lived and worked as a carpenter in the Dorset area for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Motorcycle. He will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and friendly out going nature, making him such a great part of our world. Larry loved his home and spending time with his family and friends. No matter how long you know before the day comes, losing someone you love is never easy.
Larry is survived by his wife, Doris; three children and five grandchildren, Samantha Lewis of Colorado Springs and her husband John and their daughters, Madison and McKenzie; Ted Holton and his wife, Holly, and daughter, Riley of North Carolina; Harley Rukat and his wife, Olivia, their son Malachy and daughter Maizie, of Peru, Vt.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral service for Larry will be held on Monday, Aug 13, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Manchester.

My condolences to Doris and all of Larry's family. I only received the news of his passing yesterday. I had not seen Larry since our last reunion and do have a great photo of him and I. He was one of the best and one of our high school's "country gang"! I'll catch up with him when I turn the page.
