Addie Millington 1915 - 2009 SHAFTSBURY Addie Millington, 93, widow of Frank Millington, a resident of Cleveland Ave., Shaftsbury, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Prospect Nursing Home in North Bennington following a long illness. Born in Shaftsbury, June 27, 1915, daughter of Joel P. and Alma Elwell Harrington. She received her early education in Shaftsbury and was a 1933 graduate of North Bennington High School. Mr. & Mrs. Millington were married in Shaftsbury, Oct. 29, 1936. Mr. Millington died Nov. 20, 1993. In earlier years Mrs. Millington was employed at the BenMont Paper Company and later at Tansitor Electronics until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Millington was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Bennington. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J., and Sue Millington of Bennington; a "daughter", Geraldine Finney, and her husband Tim, of Shaftsbury; three grandchildren, Robert A. Millington, and his wife, Dr. Luisa B. Millington, of Shaftsbury, Joel A. Millington, and Nicole A. Millington, both of Bennington; five great-grandchildren, Trinity, Karson, Kayden, Damon and Franco A. Millington who was named after his great-grandfather; two special nieces, Joann LaCroix of Bennington, and Mabel Myers and her husband, Ronald, of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Mrs. Millington was pre-deceased by a sister and brother, Dorothy Douglas and Paul Harrington. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.
