Adeline L. Strohschein Obituary
Adeline L. Strohschein, 92, a resident of Jayne Lane, passed away November 23, 2016 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation. Adeline was born in Milaschew, Poland on June 24, 1924 the daughter of August and Augusta (Ritz) Selent. Adeline worked on a farm until the 1960's and then as a production worker in Warsaw, Indiana. Adeline was a competitive individual and liked gardening, spinning and knitting. She enjoyed going to BPI, listening to gospel music and the company of her children and family. She is survived by her children George Strohschein (Lorna) of Akron, Indiana, Carl Strohschein (Marilyn) of Reno, Nevada, Wilhelmine Sante (Karl) of Montreal, Canada, Hertha Colbath (Keith) of Bennington, Rosa Osgood (Armand) of Belmont, NH and Liesel Miller (Cecil) of Lomalinda, CA, brothers Friedrich Selent (Ingrid) of Germany and Gustav Selent (Linda) of Alberta, Canada, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Erich Strohschein whom she married in Germany March 20, 1949. Mr. Strohschein passed away August 3, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Miene Remani and Mathilde Schurgelies. Funeral services for Adeline will be held Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11am at the Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington. Internment will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday evening December 9, 2016 at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT from 5-7pm.
