Obituary Condolences

SUNDERLAND -- Adeline M. Lenczowski, 76, a resident of Sunderland for 15 years, died Thursday morning, March 10, 2005, at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington. She was born in New York City Sept. 4, 1928, the daughter of Theodore and Anastasia (Gwozdek) Tamsky. She grew up in New York, where she graduated from high school.

She married Thaddeus Lenczowski. The Lenczowskis lived in Flushing, N.Y. and raised a loving family. Adeline was a member of the Columbettes of Saint Andrew Aveleno Church in Flushing. She also volunteered at the Saint Sylvester School and the Saint Frances Prep School, where she was an assistant teacher and aide. In her free time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and computer work. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four daughters, Karen Lenczowski of Bethpage, N.Y., Marianne Gates of New York City, Donna Riddle of Topeka, Kan. and Susan Gregori of Commack, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy Klemp of Flushing; and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul’s Church in Manchester. Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester, with a wake service at 3 p.m. Cremation will take place at Vermont Cremation Service in Bennington.
