WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Agnes Grimes Logan, 90, of Maple Street in Williamstown, died on Saturday evening, Jan. 29, 2005, at the Williamstown Commons where she was admitted on Jan. 6, 2005.

She was born in Valatia, N.Y., on May 31, 1914, and was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Thompson) Grimes. She attended schools in Valatia and Chatham, N.Y. Mrs. Logan worked at Williams College for 50 years at the Chi Psi Spencer House. She also did private catering with her late former husband Harry Logan Sr. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Williamstown. She was also a very active member of the North Adams Adult Day Health Center for the past four years.

Mrs. Logan leaves her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Thomas S. O’Neil of Williamstown, her caregivers for many years; a son, Harry M. Logan and his wife Lori Hoye-Logan of Lakewood, Wash.; five grandchildren, Condra (O’Neil) Tulaadhar and her husband Sangeet of Duluth, Ga., Chalore, Peter, Robert, and Jeffrey Hoye-Logan of Lakewood, Wash.; a sister, Katherine Graham of Albany, N.Y.; and sisters-in-law, Jeanette Grimes of Chatham and Leona Grimes of Utica, N.Y. She is predeceased by three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church of Williamstown at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Patricia MacHugh, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.

Friends may call at the George M. Hopkins Funeral Home, 61-67 Spring St. in Williamstown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
