Obituary Condolences

MANCHESTER CENTER -- Alan Ira Post, 74, a resident of Bonnet Street in Manchester Center, died on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 30, 1929, and was the son of Harry and Emma (Olesker) Post. He received his education in New York. He served in the Navy during peacetime between World War II and Korea. He owned and operated a printing company in Manhattan for several years. Mr. Post returned to school during the 1980s and studied nursing through Empire State College. He moved to Vermont several years ago, and had been employed at Mrs. Murphy’s Donut Shop for many years. He enjoyed reading and was an avid history buff, and a huge New York Giants fan. He is survived by one son, Craig Post of Suffern, N.Y. and two daughters, Marisa Post, of Aspen, Colo., and Robin Post of Parker, Colo. He also has five grandchildren.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the care of the Brewster Funeral Service in Manchester Center.
