HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Albert H. Whlte, 77, died Friday, Dec. 2, at his residence in Wood Bridge Heights, Hoosick Falls.

He was born on Oct. 17, 1928, in Port Chester, son of the late Alfred and Frances (Blancato) LeBlanc. Albert graduated from Berlin High School and St. Lawrence University with a degree in criminal law. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater from 1945 to 1947. He worked with the Hoosick Falls Police Department from 1955 until retiring several years ago. After retiring, he worked for the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 40 in Hoosick Falls and was a former member of the North Hoosick Fire Department.

Survivors include Gwendolyn (Hewitt) White of Hoosick Falls; daughter, Kay Ellen Gattuso and her husband, Gary of Adams, Mass.; three sons, Mark White of Waterford, Brian White and his wife Judith of Hoosick Falls and Wade White and his wife Francine of Hyde Park; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Albert is predeceased by a brother, John White.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Southview Cemetery in North Adams, Mass. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St., in Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
