Alfred J. Ferrannini

1934 - 2010 HOOSICK FALLS, NY Alfred J. Ferrannini, 75, passed away peacefully on Feb. 18, 2010, at Hoosick Falls Health Center, following a long illness.

Born at Adams, Mass., on May 20, 1934, he was son of the late Joseph and Pauline Sirard Ferrannini. A lifelong Hoosick Falls resident, he was raised and educated here. Alfred proudly served his country in the Army in the 1950s, attaining the rank of private first class. He had been employed as a mold setter at the Holman Company prior to his retirement. He was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hoosick Falls and had been a devoted member of the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad for a number of years, serving as president in 1974.

In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting antiques, especially tools, and enjoyed tinworking and carpentry and made the weather vane that is on top of his home today. He was a kind, devoted , loving son, husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed.

He leaves his beloved wife of over 53 years, Lois Fortin Ferrannini, his devoted sons, Michael, Robert, Richard (Elizabeth), and Joseph (Anne) Ferrannini, all of Hoosick Falls, and his cherished grandchildren, Edward, Peter Joseph (PJ), and Adam Ferrannini, and has a great-grandchild on the way.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, beginning at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Main St., Hoosick Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in the spring in the Norton Family Cemetery in Pittstown. Friends and relatives are invited and may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the mass at ROBSON-REINFURT FUNERAL HOME, 72 Main St., Hoosick Falls.

As a tribute to Alfred's memory, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad, 21 First St., Hoosick Falls, NY 12090.
