Alice Lorraine Reynolds
BENNINGTON - Alice Lorraine Reynolds, 78, widow of Henry Reynolds, a former resident of Lyons Street, Bennington, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington following a long illness.
Born in Bennington, March 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Adelle LaCroix Davis. She received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School.
Alice and Henry were married October 19, 1949 in Bennington. Henry died October 30, 2007.
In earlier years Alice had been employed at Montgomery Wards, Tansitor and for many years had been employed at the Union Carbide Corporation in Bennington until her retirement.
Alice enjoyed traveling and spending long winters in sunny Florida was her greatest pleasure.
She leaves her children, Craig Reynolds and Holly Sullivan of Charlotte, Denise Reynolds of Jamison, Pa., Lisa Reynolds of Bennington and Steven Reynolds and his wife Marylou of Bennington; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Timothy Stone of Fla., Amy Reynolds of Bennington and Jeffrey Siegel of Pa.; a sister, Mary McMurray of Fort Myers, Fla., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick J. Davis and Lester H. Davis.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Memorial services celebrating the life of Alice Reynolds will be held from All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered.
Private committal services will take place at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Should friends desire contributions in memory of Alice L. Reynolds may be made to the Green Mountain Chapter of the Alzheimer's Foundation through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
