1946 - 2015 BENNINGTON Allen H. "Pop" Morgan, 69, a resident of County Street, died peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2015 at his residence. Born in Bristol, VT August 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Abel and Florence (Hill) Morgan. He received his education in the Bristol schools. A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during that time. He later served in the Vermont National Guard for 20 years retiring with the rank of S/SGT. Pop married the former Patricia Briggs on December 15, 1979. Pat died February 4, 2013. Pop was employed for many years by the Town of Bennington Highway Department until the time of his retirement. His favorite pastime was time spent with his grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Steve Farnum of Tampa, FL; a son, Rodney Fisher of Bennington; eight grandchildren, Leslie, Chris, Coryn, Karli, R.J., Todd, Ian and Tyson; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Caroline Cutter of East Jaffery, NH, Alberta McIntyre of Bristol, Agnes Martel and Betty Goyette, both of New Haven; a brother, Harold of NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by two daughters, Gina Morgan Faccioli and Lisa Morgan Cunningham, both of New York City. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Friday, November 6, 2015 at 3p.m. with the Rev. Robin Green officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2p.m. until the time of the service. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Allen H.
