1960 - 2013 MANCHESTER CENTER Alvin "Bucky" Shores, Jr., a resident of Laver Road in Arlington, passed away Nov. 25, 2013, at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center. Alvin was born in Manchester on Aug. 19, 1960, the son of Alvin E. Shores Sr., and Noreen Bourn and attended local schools. Alvin was a self-employed mason, working in the construction industry for many years. He was a member of the New England Draft Pony Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse pulling, and camping. Alvin enjoyed his home and cherished times spent with family. Alvin is survived by his wife, the former Mary Hart, whom he married Feb. 14, 1989, in Weston; his sons, Alvin E. Shores III and Cody Shores, both of Arlington; brothers, John Shores and his wife, Betty, of Arlington, David Shores and his wife, Peggy, of Mt. Tabor, and Corey Shores and his companion, Laura, of Manchester, and Shane Shores and his companion, Laurie, also of Manchester; sisters, Jean Wall of Manchester, Kelly Hernandez and her husband, Fernando, of Kermit, Texas, Scottie Fredericks of Well, Vt., and Wendy Strobel and her companion, Jim, of Manchester; grandchildren, Blaize and Cheyenna, and their mother, Amber Decker, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Larry Shores, who died in 1992, and by brothers-in-law, Perk, Richard, and Steven.
