HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Alysia Anne Manerowski, 36, died suddenly Thursday at her residence, Hoosac Meadows Way No. 17. She resided there with her daughter Louiesia Manerowski.

Alysia was born on Nov. 27, 1969, in Huntington, daughter of the Rev. Joseph Manerowski of Hoosick Falls and Mary Lou (Yerry) Gibson of St. Augustine, Fla. Alysia was a teachers aide at Hoosick Falls Central School and a home school teacher. She was a member of Harvest Christian Ministries in Bennington, Vt.

Alysia enjoyed interior design, collecting curios from tag sales and had a flair for decor. She had a passion for Africa and Alaska and had aspirations to one day visit these places. She also possessed a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in front of people. Her favorite pastime was playing Dutch Blitz with her daughter.

Survivors other than Alysia’s parents and daughter include her sister Karyn and husband, Aaron Chapman, of Bear Valley, Calif.; her brother, Michael Manerowski, and nephew, Henry Joseph Manerowski, both of St. Paul, Minn., and her stepfather, Paul Gibson of St. Augustine, Fla.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St., Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 10 a.m. from the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Joseph’s House in Albany or the Harvest House in Bennington.
