Obituary Condolences

EAST DORSET -- Anna Dorothy Stack, 82, of East Dorset, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, in North Carolina. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 24, 1924, the daughter of John and Dorothy Dadura. On Aug. 3, 1947, she married Anthony J. Stack in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Stack passed away on June 2, 2002.

Mrs. Stack served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. She was employed as a business administrator with South Huntington School District 13 in Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y. Her greatest joy, however, was in being a mom and a grandmother.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Ruthie Stack, of Jackson, N.J.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Brendan Hehir, of Mt. Tabor, and Audrey and Patrick Cassidy, of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Violet Dadura, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Keri, Erin, Casey, Cailean, Briana and Shanan, Hehir and Timothy and Dariel Stack, and her two special granddogs, King Beau Diddles (who laid with her as she passed away) and Kiera. Her brother, Andrew, and sisters, Dorothy, Stella and Jenny preceded her in death.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome’s Church in East Dorset with the Father John Whalen officiating. Burial will follow in Danby Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at the Brewster Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, from 5 to 9 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. There will be a rosary service at 8 p.m. Friday.
