Anna June Hurley

1919 - 2012 BENNINGTON VT Anna June Hurley, 93, a resident of White Birches, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.

The daughter of Harold and Mary Ellen (Timoney) Boothman, she was born in North Adams, MA on June 14, 1919. She married Edward Hurley at St. Francis de Sales Church on June 8, 1940; he died September 1987. Mrs. Hurley had worked as a Supervisor at J. B. Martin in Norwich, Conn., and locally at The Paradise and Transistor Electronics. She had enjoyed working on puzzles, rug hooking, watching her soap operas and collecting jewelry, especially butterfly pins.

She leaves her son and daughter-in-law William and Kathleen Hurley of Bennington, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Boothman, and sister, Irene Jones.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church, a prayer service will precede the mass at the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME at 9:40 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Park Lawn Cemetery following the mass.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home.
