Obituary Condolences

NORTH BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Anna L. Barton, 94, a resident of Homestead Mews, North Bennington, and a former longtime resident of Troy, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington following a brief illness.

Born in Bennington on Nov. 20, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Marian (Gabbitt) Turner. She received her education in the Bennington schools.

In earlier years, Mrs. Barton was employed at the former EZ Mills in Bennington for many years. She enjoyed sewing, baking and canning.

Survivors include one sister, Beatrice M. Straub, 92, of Cambridge, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Donna Browe and Darlene Jaenecke, both of Shaftsbury, Noel Olin of Newport, Rick Olin of North Bennington and Denise Olin-Hrbek of Evanston, Wyo.; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Barton was predeceased by a son, Robert M. Olin, who died Nov. 27, 2004, and by two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Turner.

Private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
