Anne Denning Case

1919 - 2015 CONCORD N.H. Anne D. Case died peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law's home on April 19 with her family and cat, Penelope, by her side. Anne was born on November 1, 1919 in Milton, Mass. The daughter of Paul I. and Corinne (Heath) Denning. Following her graduation from Concord High School, class of 1937, Anne spent 48 years of her career working for the State of N.H. D.O.T. Starting with the first Commissioner, Frank Merrill, up until she retired when she was 74 years old. During her time with the D.O.T., the Commissioner awarded her with a personalized sign reserving her parking space and recognized her for serving her state longer than any other D.O.T employee. Over the years Anne had many hobbies which included traveling with her son and daughter-in-law, JSB and Di, decorating her home (she had impeccable taste), knitting, painting, rug braiding, reading (Danielle Steele books), and playing cards. She cherished and lived for her family. She will be missed by her sons, John S. Ball III of Manchester, N.H., Peter Case of Hill, N.H.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Deidre and Daniel Morin of Concord, N.H. She was also loved by, son-in-law, John (Sally) Bunnell; brother-in-law, David (Annette) Case; cousin, Marjorie Marcautonio; nieces/nephews, Deborah (Roger) Seymour, Tricia Smith, Robin George, Darcey (Dennis) Goss, Jason (Jody) Case, grandchildren, Christopher Bunnell, Tracey Ecklund, Scott Stemp, Carrie Wszolek, Lindsay and Cal Jacques, Keith and Melissa Morin; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Alex Bunnell, Jack and Grace Ecklund, Brittany and Samantha Wszolek, Kyle and Amara Stemp, Ryan and Tyler Morin, Maya and Molly Jacques; great-great grandchild, Jocelyn Wszolek. Pre-deceased by her two daughters, Pamela Bunnell, and Susan Case; and daughter-in-law, Diann Ball; and sister, Patricia Paire. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Concord Hospital on 5N for the great care they gave to Mom. We also are so grateful to Cara and Connie from VNA Hospice for helping us make Mom's last days pain free and peaceful. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. at St. Pauls's Episcopal Church, 21 Centre Street, in Concord, N.H. Burial will be private.
