Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Anne M. Kinney were held from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, where the liturgy of Christian death and burial was offered by the Rev. Vincent Coppola, c.s.c. associate pastor.

Organist was Donald McMahon and soloist was Monica Murray. Hymns offered during the service were “How Great Thou Art,” “Ave Maria,” “On Eagles’ Wings,” “Prayer of Saint Francis” and “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling.”

The pall that draped Anne’s casket was placed by John Kinney, John Proud, Timothy Proud, Michael Kinney, Tom Kinney and Patrick Kinney Sr. A wooden cross was then placed on the casket by John Kinney. The scriptural readings were offered by Ann Swieard and Jessica Proud. The offertory gifts were presented by Mary and William Specht. Words of remembrance were offered by Mary Beaupre. Bearers were John Kinney, John Proud, Timothy Proud, Michael Kinney, Tom Kinney and Patrick Kinney Sr.

A prayer service at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home preceded the funeral mass.

The entombment took place in Park Lawn Chapel in Bennington.

A reception followed at the Mount Anthony Country Club.

Miss Anne M. Kinney, 92, a lifelong resident of Bennington, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Bennington.
