BENNINGTON -- Mrs. Annette J. Delude, 90, widow of Donald E. Delude, a resident of School Street, Bennington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Born in Bennington on Feb. 23, 1917, she was the daughter of the late George P. and Albia (Talbot) Lauzon. She received her education in the Bennington schools.

Don and Annette were married at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington, June 8, 1936. Don died Oct. 12, 1990.

In earlier years Annette worked at the Union Carbide Corporation and Hoy Manufacturing Company. She later was employed for several years in the food service program at Bennington Elementary School and several other local schools.

A member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church, she was also a member of the St. Anne’s Society at the church.

Her home and family were her main interest.

Survivors include five daughters, Patricia Griffin of Bennington, Donna Moran and her husband Mark, of Rensselaer, N.Y., Deborah Johnson and her husband Ronald of Clifton Park, N.Y., Sandra McManus and her husband Thomas of Bowie, Md., and Penny Murrell and her husband Edward Murrell of Arlington, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Sharon, Julie, Stephen, Jade, Kristle, Sven, Erik, Erin, Kerry, Casey, Aurora, Devin and Zachary; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three sisters-in-law, Ann Lauzon of Schodack Landing, N.Y., Betty Lauzon of North Adams, Mass., and Lena Delude of Manchester, N.H.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Delude was predeceased by a son, Donald R. Delude; by six sisters, Gertrude Sausville, Blanche Kent, Beatrice Milliard, Charlotte Snow, Theresa Lauzon and Loretta Price and by three brothers, Wilfred, Raymond and Richard Lauzon.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Monday, March 5, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 11 a.m. where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered.

Friends may call at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. The wake service will be offered Sunday afternoon.

Entombment will take place in Park Lawn Chapel with burial to be in Park Lawn Cemetery in the spring.

Should friends desire, contributions in Annette Delude’s memory may be made to either the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Bell Tower Fund or the Bennington Rescue Squad through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.

All members of the St. Anne’s Society are asked to meet at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Sunday at 5 p.m. for the recitation of the Rosary in memory of Mrs. Annette Delude.
