Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Annette Ferron, 94, a former resident of Hunt Street, and previously of Central Falls, R.I., died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Bennington Health and Rehab following a long illness.

Born in Central Falls, Sept. 28, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Rodigue and Mary (Quoiteau) Lalime. She received her education at St. Cecelia’s School in Pawtucket, R.I., and graduated with the class of 1930.

She married Eugene LaMontagne who died in 1959. Later she married Wilbrod Ferron, who died in 1980.

In earlier years Annette was employed as an office manager at Wakeford Mills in Pawtucket until the time of her retirement.

Mrs. Ferron was a member of St. Matthew’s Church in Central Falls and a member of the Altar Guild at the church. She belonged to the LaSalette Mission Club at LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro, Mass.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard E and Nancy Lamontagne of Oakhurst, Calif., and Paul G and Susan Lamontagne of Bennington; two grandchildren, Daniel Lamontagne and his wife Christy of Berlin, N.Y., and Joelle Vosburgh and her husband Todd of Bennington; two sisters, Estelle Robinshaw of Cumberland, R.I., and Doris Lalime of Pawtucket, R.I.; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ferron was predeceased by a granddaughter, Marielle LaMontagne, who died in 1985, and by several brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 a.m., where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered. Friends may call at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service.

Burial will take place in the family lot in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, R.I., where committal services will take place on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at 1 p.m.

Should friends desire contributions in memory of Mrs. Ferron may be made to the Activities Fund at Bennington Health and Rehab through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
