SALEM, N.Y. -- Anthony Vincent Agneta, 59, of North St., Granville, formerly of Salem, passed away Thursday night, Dec. 13, 2007, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Tony was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Albany, the son of Mary Patane Agneta of Latham and the late Vincent Agneta.

He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany and attended college in New York City. Tony worked on and off for 30 years at Cristaldi’s Auto dealership as a salesman and service manager in Greenwich until April.

Tony was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Salem and enjoyed mechanical repairs with his son, Harold who went to work with his father on weekends. He also enjoyed his family, friends and baseball, especially the New York Mets.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Muriel Barton Agneta; three children, Neil Agneta of Buffalo, Rose Agneta and Harold Agneta, both of Granville; two stepchildren, Patricia Tobin of Fort Ann and Allan Tobin of Cambridge, and a sister, Antoinette Kallenburg of Colonie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, North Main Street, Salem, with the Rev. Liam Condon, pastor officiating. Spring interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the McClellan Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem.
