Anthony Bromirski

1930 - 2014 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Anthony "Ski" Bromirski passed away on Aug. 13, 2014 at his home on 73 River Rd. Anthony, "Joe the Clocker", was surrounded by his family and friends while he was watching the horses run at Saratoga on his TV. Anthony, the son of Anthony and Amelia Bromirski, was born on Sept. 27, 1930. He graduated from St. Mary's Academy. After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy, he returned to Hoosick Falls. He spent a year sitting on the back porch of the Shea Farm on Bovie Hill Rd. trying to talk his way past Edward (Wiggy) Shea. Finally, he was able to get to the inside to the kitchen to court and marry his sweetheart, Rita (Shea) Bromirski. Anthony (Grampy) is also so very proud of his grandchildren Shea, Elizabeth, Amelia, William, Ben and Stacia. Their exploits and games became the light of his later years. He would never miss a game, awards ceremony, or concert! God bless those poor referees! Anthony, (Joe the Good Guy), is survived by his beloved wife, Rita, and their four children; Mark (Jane), David (Bridget), Peter (Tracy), and Judy (Mark). Anthony (Tony) is also survived by his youngest sibling, Joanne (Cotrell). He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Edward and John (Mick). FUNERAL NOTICE: Arrangements are through MAHAR'S FUNERAL HOME in Hoosick Falls. Anthony's (Tony's) wake will be on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls at 11 a.m. All donations are to be made to St. Mary's Academy in his many names, through the funeral home.
