BENNINGTON -- Antonia Robidoux died peacefully at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington on Dec. 21, 2007, at the age of 101.

Antonia (Toni) was born May 31, 1906 in Varin, Czechoslovakia, now Varazdin, Croatia. She immigrated to the United States in 1912 with her mother Justine Gyurina, and resided in the Bronx, N.Y. She was employed as a sample dressmaker in New York City for various dress designers in the fashion district, until her retirement in 1971.

She then continued to live in Martinsville, N.J., for 30 years, enjoying many volunteer activities.

Antonia is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Clark Halvorsen of Bennington; one brother, Alfred Sembrie of Lanoka Harbor, N.J.; three granddaughters, Karen Halvorsen, Bennington, Ingrid Halvorsen, Delmar, N.Y., Brenda Halvorsen Davis, Lake Worth, Fla., and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Richter, TJ, Chris and Brian Loebe.

Antonia is predeceased by her last husband, Leo Robidoux, her first husband, James Joseph Clark, and her grandson, CW4 Erik A. Halvorsen. At her request, her remains were given to the Anatomical Gift Program at Albany Medical College.

No funeral service will be held.
