1946-2010 BENNINGTON Arthur M. Campbell, 64 a resident of River Street, died peacefully Thursday morning February 25, 2010 surrounded by his family at his home following a long illness.

Art was born in Bennington on Jan. 27, 1946, he was the son of the late Richard and Viola Sanders Campbell. A lifelong resident of Bennington he attended local schools and had worked for over 30 years at the former Morse C.B. Block Company which became Griswold Masonry from which he retired. In earlier years he had worked at Bennington College.

Art was married to Marion Morgan in Bennington on June 18, 1966.

He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose and enjoyed stock car racing, collecting die cast miniature NASCAR race cars, hunting, bowling, dancing, puzzles, playing cards and country music. His most enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and many friends.

He leaves his wife Marion of Bennington; sons, Arthur M. Campbell Jr. and wife, Wendy, of Williamstown, Mass., Milo Campbell of Bennington, Michael Campbell and Alli Williams of Bennington, Steve LaFlamme and Eric LaFlamme, both of Bennington; a daughter, Penny Taylor and Albert Parsakian of Latham, N.Y.; brothers, Henry J. Campbell of Shaftsbury and John E. Campbell of Bennington; grandchildren Courtney Campbell, Jade Taylor, Jimmie Taylor, Carter Campbell, Mac Campbell, Kyleigh Campbell and Hunter Williams; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Monday March 1 at 10 a.m. at the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Michael Morneault officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 when the family will be present.
