Arthur F. Moody 1922-2008 CUMBERLAND, R.I. - Arthur F. Moody, 85, of Reservoir Road, and formerly of Polk City, Fla., and Arlington, VT., passed away Monday in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. Born in New York City, N.Y., son of Arthur E. and Selma Holst Moody, he resided in Cumberland for the past 6 months, previously residing in Polk City, Fla., for 12 years and Arlington, Vt., for most of his life. Mr. Moody was Vice President of Engineering for Mack Molding Co., of Arlington, Vt., for 50 years until his retirement. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in Africa and France. He was a member of the Mason's of the Red Mountain Lodge in Arlington, Vt., and a member of Fore Travel Motor Home Club. He was a communicant of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Cumberland and St. James Episcopal Church, Arlington, Vt. Besides his wife, N. Lorraine Moody, he leaves two sons: Frederick A. "Rick" Moody and his wife, RosAnn, of Vernon, Conn., and Christian J. Moody and his wife, Patricia, of Brentwood Bay, British Columbia; a daughter, Dr. Betsy L. Moody and Benjamin Rice of Cumberland; two brothers-in-law, Frederick H. Grout and his wife, Dorothy, of Arlington, Vt., and Joel F. Grout of Manchester, Conn., seven grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, one great great-grand-child and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Arthur F. Moody will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
