Arthur L. George

LEO, IN Arthur L. George, 84, of Leo, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at his residence. Born in Williamstown, Mass., he was a chemical engineer for Sprague Electric and Rea Magnet Wire from 1963 to 1979; also owner of George's Excavating. He was a Merchant Marine World War II veteran and member of Legion Post 409 and Isaac Walton.

He leaves his sons, Gary (Linda) George of Auburn and Geoff (Sally) George of Leo; daughter, Gyl (David) Hanna of Spencerville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Caroline (Bruce) Martel of Pownal, Vt., and Clare (Wayne) Morrison of Williamstown, Mass.; brothers, Jon George and James (Stacey) George, both of Williamstown, Mass.; and his beloved dog, Ginger.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan, in 2003.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at D.O. MCCOMB & SONS PINE VALLEY PARK FUNERAL HOME, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
