Obituary Condolences

NORTH ADAMS, Mass -- Mr. Arthur Joseph Rupprecht 91, of 96 Bachand Lane, Williamstown, a native and former resident of Adams, died Thursday morning at the North Adams Commons. He had been a client there since July of 2000.

Born Feb. 25, 1912 in Adams, son of Frank and Mary (Charbonneau) Rupprecht, he attended the Adams Public schools including the Renfrew Grammar School and Plunket Jr. High (9th grade level).

He was first employed by the Adams Highway Department, then became an employee of the former Arnold Print Works, retiring in February of 1977 after 33 years of service.

On June 19, 1933, he exchanged wedding vows with the former Mary Falco, whom he married in North Adams.

She died July 15, 1998. Mr. Rupprecht was a communicant of Notre Dame/St. Thomas Parish. He is survived by one son, Robert A. Rupprecht of Savoy, seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Another son, Larry Rupprecht, was killed while on duty at the Haun AFB, Germany on May 26, 1964 and a sister, Jeannette LaRoche died also.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial is planned for Monday, April 14, at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the McBride Funeral Home, Adams.
