Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Graveside services for Arthur M. Roberts were held at Old Bennington Centre Cemetery on Sunday, May 22, 2005, with the Rev. Dr. John Eusden officiating.

Musical selections were a recording of vocal selections performed by Mr. Roberts daughter, Mardi Sargent and the Josh Groben song “To Where You Are.”

Remembrances of Art were offered by daughters, Kathy Satterthwaite and Jody Graves and also Sonya Clarke and Bobbie Jeanotte. His granddaughter, Anastasia Satterthwaite, gave the eulogy.

Military honors were accorded the World War II veteran by Francis LaCroix and taps were sounded by Susan Greene. Art served as an aviator in the Marine Corps. Art Roberts, a resident of Monument Avenue, Old Bennington, died peacefully, May 9, 2005, at his residence surrounded by his family. He suffered a stroke 10 years ago. Art was predeceased by his wife, Kit, in 2002.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
